Ninety years after the Frenkel brothers created Mishmish Effendi, the Egyptian Mickey Mouse, he returns to the big screen to tell the illustrious story of the Jewish community in Egypt. Mishmish, an animated character created by Jews from Egypt, strolls through the streets of Cairo and Alexandria as a dynamic animated figure. He passes by the villas of Egyptian Jews of that era, recalling the community leaders who propelled Egypt forward culturally and economically. The film narrates the times of harmony and coexistence between Egyptian Jews and Egyptians, up until the proclamation and establishment of the State of Israel. Egyptian Jews find themselves rejected and unwanted, attacked, imprisoned, and ultimately expelled with no chance of return. Despite everything, they still hold a deep love for the Land of the Nile in their hearts.
